This is as usual one of the no sense news about Malaysian politics.

1.Ng have nothing to do and provoking the opposite party seems to be his trademark

2.Toyo cant seem to be provoked and challenged Ng.

3.Ng took the challenge to prove that he is a man by accepting.

4.Toyo wants to see who would buy his 24Million mansion

5.Ng & Toyo lived happily ever after for contributing news and keeping up with their quota of being heard and scrutinized by the media .

The scare finally got to me :(

This is becoming ever so weird for me . A girl working at my Company just called up her superior and informed that she is suspected of having H1N1 ! Scrap my earlier post on me indicating to check my immunity and shock level as now I can surely confirm that if 10 is the highest level , then I am at level 10 !
Why in the world did that gundu turn up to work today :( . Thats me with the mask .. thanks baby for immediately passing it to me . God is angry I supposed and looks like all of us will know his wrath through H1N1.

H1N1 introducing its new best friend = The Pneumonic Plague

We have yet to recover from H1N1 shock and now comes the Pneumonic Plague . Still not worried ? Let me fill you in with the details :

1. A third man has died of pneumonic plague in north-western China where a town of more than
10,000 people has been sealed off .
2. Medics are disinfecting the area and killing rats and insects.
3. Pneumonic plague, which attacks the lungs, can spread from person to person or from animals
to people.
4. Symptoms of pneumonic plague include fever, headache and shortness of breath.
5. According to the WHO, pneumonic plague is the most virulent and least common form of
plague.
6. It is caused by the same bacteria that occur in bubonic plague - the Black Death that killed an
estimated 25 million people in Europe during the Middle Ages.
7. Bubonic plague is usually transmitted by flea bites and can be treated with antibiotics,
pneumonic plague is easier to contract and if untreated, has a very high case-fatality ratio.
8. Pneumonic plague, affecting the lungs, can kill within 24 hours .

Enough info ? For now at least . I need to check on my immunity and shock level .

Bcri Durian Butter Cake With Citrus Frosting

Ingredients

250g unsalted butter
250g caster or fine granulated sugar
4 (grade A) eggs
200g durian flesh
250g self-raising flour & 1/8 level tsp bicarbonate of soda (sift together)
3 tbsp milk Frosting:
50g-100g cashew nuts
100g unsalted butter
200g icing sugar, sifted
2 tbsp kalamansi (limau kasturi) juice
2 tsp finely shredded kalamansi peel

Method

BRUSH two 18cm cake tins with softened butter and dust with a light sprinkling of flour, tap out excess. (I love tube pans--the ones with holes in the centres as the cakes cook much more quickly and evenly.) Preheat oven to 175°C.

Remove butter from the refrigerator about 15 minutes before using to allow it to soften slightly. Cut butter into smaller bits. Place in mixing bowl with the sugar. Cream, preferably with electric beaters, until light and fluffy.

Crack eggs into a bowl and beat with fork until yolks and whites are well mixed. Add eggs to the butter/sugar mixture (about a tablespoon at a time), beating well after each addition. (Adding the eggs gradually prevents the batter from curdling.)

When all the eggs have been incorporated, add the durian flesh (chop roughly if the pieces are large or lumpy), beating well for a minute or two. Using a large metal spoon or rubber spatula, fold in the sifted flour in three, roughly equal batches, adding one tablespoon of milk after each addition of flour.

Spoon mixture into the prepared tins, level the top and bake in preheated oven for 25 to 35 minutes. Test by inserting a skewer in the middle of the cake--it should come out without bits of batter sticking to it. Once cake is cooked, remove from the oven and allow it to sit in the tin for 5 minutes before carefully loosening it around the edges with a palette knife. Turn out onto a wire cooling tray. Once cake is completely cold, transfer onto a serving platter.

Place the cashew nuts on a baking tray and toast in an oven preheated to 150°C for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and set aside to cool.

Make frosting by beating the softened butter and icing sugar together until smooth and fluffy. Gradually add the juice and rind, and continue beating until creamy. Cover the (cooled) cake with frosting and sprinkle the toasted cashew nuts over the top. (The above quantity will cover the top and sides of one cake or only the tops of both cakes--you decide!)

Bcri's A Fruity Affair Christmas Cake

Ingredients

200g butter
200g soft brown sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
100g self-raising flour
200g flour
1 tsp ground mixed spice
175g sultanas
250g black raisins
50g mixed peel
50g dried apricots — coarsely chopped
50g crystalised ginger — coarsely chopped
3 tbsp CointreauTopping:
Apricot gel
5 pecan nuts or walnuts — toastedApricot gel glaze:
225g apricot jam
55ml water
1 3/4 tsp lemon juice

Method

Grease a deep 20cm round cake tin and line the base and sides with a double layer of greaseproof paper.Sift the flours with the mixed spice. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition and adding a little flour if the mixture shows signs of curdling.Beat in the essence. Fold in the sifted flours in batches, alternating it with a tablespoon of cointreau each time.Mix fruits in a mixing bowl and add in one to two tablespoons flour. Stir fruits into the creamed mixture.Spoon the mixture into prepared cake tin and smooth the surface with a spatula.Knock tin lightly on a flat surface to break up any air bubbles.Bake in a preheated oven at 160 ºC for an hour, lower the temperature to 150 ºC and continue to bake for another hour or until a skewer inserted in the centre of the cake comes out clean and dry.Cool cake in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.

To make topping:

Brush apricot gel over cake. Arrange the pecan nuts in the centre of cake and brush with more gel to give the cake a beautiful sheen. Allow cake to dry before dusting with icing sugar.

To make Apricot gel glaze:

Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and stir well until it is thoroughly blended and mixture is smooth. Boil for 10 to 15 minutes then force the mixture through a fine wire sieve. Brush the warm glaze over the cake.You can keep the rest of the glaze in a covered container in the refrigerator. It will last for a fortnight.
