Food For Thought

I am 32 years old and after the medical checkup , I realised I have to change my food habits which have resorted me to note down in detail of what I eat daily without fail.

My sister helped by scaring me and giving me more scary input in detail of what could happen .She started talking like one specialist doctor who just analysed my blood and my tissue and started asking question that starts with " What happens when ........" . Thanks for scaring me akka.

Not only that she sent me the list of food that I should consume according to my blood type. B Positive I am . For those who wants to check the proper food they need to take accordingto their blood type, feel free to see the list below that I have attached. Hope this will help as how it is helping me to choose and control my intake .

Good Bye Prawn Sambal

Me and medical related things just doesn't match , which pretty much explains the reason why I have been prolonging my medical checkup for years! Last week , I managed to pull myself together and dragged myself to do a proper medical checkup - that also procrastinating the actual day I planned to go which was on a Thursday . I eventually found myself at the door step of the clinic on Friday.

What made me do the checkup started with a simple flu that was glad to lift my head and threw it to the wall and the ridiculous looking ACNE ..yes acnee that was so huge like pile of rocks repeatedly making their grand appearance on both of my temples . It is literally horrendous ! and when I had more than one opinion that keep on telling me "you need to go for check up " , and " Its related to your heart" , it really did give me a hard knock reality check in my head that I should start doing medical checkups on myself . I do worry about other people when it comes to health and I realised I at some point am not bothered about myself - at all.

To cut the story short , I received my medical report last night , all cleared! BUT .. my cholesterol level is high :( . Come to think of it , if I don't start looking into this seriously , I might end up having people to take care of me - which is the last thing I ever want . To avoid having block arteries and all the nonsense bonus in store with this cholesterol , I have taken drastic measure of writing down all my food intake effective yesterday . This is to scare myself into seeing the junks that I am supposed to avoid and yet still taking it to silently kill myself.Hunger is also not helping me .

Good Bye Prawn Sambal :(

Welcome Home Soya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally!!!! At last I am able to "share" my new nephew to the wholeworld! After 1 week leave and deepavali and limited access to the net , I finally manage to load his beautiful pictures for all to see . Born 19th Oct at 7.51 am ( he was in a hurry to show himself to the world ) he presented himself to his panicked first-time dad early!. Everyone literally rushed back .. and when I say "literally" , thats exactly what my betterhalf and I did at 3.30 am after we got the news from the panicked dad that .. "water broke".. and we went "gasp!" .."KL ..here we come", although me being the driver stopped for awhile near behrang and trying to catch a quick nap for half an hour .. which didn't really happen .Thanks to the busy busses and lorries traveling and shaking the earth while they move.

All in all , all of us are estatic to receive this beautiful bundle of joy given by god to add to our family. At the moment , with us waiting impatiently to give him a legal name , I ( sorry marran and jo! ) have err.. given him hispet name as " Soya" . WHY?! well , his mum religiously drank soya the whole of nine months conceiving him and the time he was born , he was born covered with white substance..we suspect that he have been bundle and coated in soya. So! he came out fair!!!! scientifically proven, to get fair baby , drink soya!

Welcome Home Soya! and GOOD JOB mama soya and papa soya.

New Kid On The Block

This month will be the month my two sweethearts will get a baby brother . That will be the complete group of the 3 musketeers! I myself am so eager to receive the arrival of this bundle of joy courtesy of Cikgu Jo and Marran . It would be the best Deepavali gift . Amma and Appa would be thrill to add another member to their family tree .
Hope the two cuties wont bully their baby brother .

Buah Keranji

Today I discovered that most of the people I know and even my staffs don't know that "Buah Keranji" existed . Its called velvet tamarind and taste like tamarind of course .
However!, most know by heart the pantun below ;
Sorong papan tarik papan
Buah keranji di dalam perahu
Suruh makan dia makan
Suruh mengaji dia tak tahu
The "buah keranji" indicated in the pantun above IS THE BUAH KERANJI that all of you saw , tasted and ate today . There are lots more "weird" local fruits that have yet to be discovered by most of us , but for me , the reason I know must be related to my age ( wise owl ) .
For example : buah jentik , buah dabai , pulasan , buah salak and buah nona
And no...... apple and orange isnt local ok! Adi , thank you for "introducing" the fruit again to the youngsters . Hope you will bring more everytime you make a journey back to your home town!

Happy Birthday Gandhi Ji

Today , 2nd Oct 2009 - Gandhi Ji turned 140 . He is still much remembered although he passed away on January 30, 1948 at age 78 .

There is a lot to know about what he did when he was alive : covering from England to Africa to Zulu War to World War II to Quit India campaign . Yes.. its a lot . Please dont forget the Nathuram Vinayak Godse , the fanatic Hindu Brahmin his assassinator .This man ironically made Gandhi his idol during his schooling days .

I suggest the Indians from India read first about Gandhi as most are ignorant enough to even know how to spell his name .

Rest in Peace Gandhi Ji wherever you are and for your effort to eliminate racism and for showing equality in caste based society.

Mother Nature's Wrath Vomits Typhoon,Tsunami and EarthQuake

Humans are pushing the limit towards earth and she strikes back by paying cash to all of us .Thousands dead and thousands feared missing . 3 disasters at one go within a week .
More to come they say , and lets hope all our love ones are spared from this wrath .
Its heart wrenching to see all the victims screaming , wailing and crying in search for those trapped in the disasters .

Dear God ,

Please spare us from all the mishaps and please take care of our love ones and ensure their safety while they continue their journey on earth .

Crayon Shin-chan @ Yoshihito Usui-SAN

My favourite cartoon creator of Crayon Shin-chan passed away .The 51 year old was found at a cliff of Mount Arafune might have slipped to his death while climbing .
Thank you Yoshihito Usui -SAN for a wonderful contribution of laughter to this world full of misery. You made us realise that even as adult , there is still a naughty , innocent and energetic 5 year old kid in all of us .Your soul and happiness will carry on in Shin-Chan.

Rest In Peace and God Bless .

Jediism

Need to share the below news with everyone. Its interesting to know about the surface of new religion based on movies . Dont forget to read till the end to see the comment from Tesco on this weirdo :) . Happy Reading.

Remember Barbara Adams, the woman who wore her Star Trek uniform even while serving as a juror on the Whitewater trial? We thought her dedication to sci-fi was so above and beyond the call of duty it would never be matched, but a report in today's Telegraph proves we should never say never.According to Daniel Jones, founder of the International Church of Jediism, staff at a Tesco department store in Bangor, North Wales, ejected him over security fears when he refused to remove his hood.

"I told them it was a requirement of my religion, but they just sniggered and ordered me to leave," said Jones, also known by his Jedi name Morda Hehol. "I walked past a Muslim lady in a veil. Surely the same rules should apply to everyone."The handbook of the U.K. Jedi Church, which was founded last year by Jones--excuse us, Morda Hehol--states that "Jedis must wear a hood up in any public place of a large audience." The religion is practiced by 500,000 around the world."It was discrimination," said Jones. "I was really upset. Nobody should be treated like that."

A Tesco spokesman had this response:
"Jedi are very welcome to shop in our stores although we would ask them to remove their hoods. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and Luke Skywalker all went hoodless without going to the Dark Side. If Jedi walk around our stores with their hoods on, they'll miss lots of special offers
."
